NOBODY wants to have to take their pet to the vet - but if the need arises, it's important to know that your furry friend is in the safest hands possible.

We asked Hexham Courant readers who they trust with their animal companions - here's who they recommended.

HADRIAN VETS:

The practice on Dene Avenue is Hexham's longest established veterinary practice. Their website states that the team prides themselves on clinical excellence and they aim to make clients and their pets feel at ease.

Ann Blackburn wrote: "Hadrian all the way" while receptionist Celia Lowe added: "I love Hadrian vets, not just because I work there but because our team is amazing.

"We have tackled COVID and the restrictions head on to maintain a fabulous service."

They provide treatment and support for everything from hamsters to livestock and everything in-between, with the practice divided up into equine, farm, and small animal departments.
