A FURTHER seven people in Cumbria have died in the past 24 hours after testing positive for Covid-19.
One death was recorded in Allerdale, two in Carlisle, one in Copeland, two in Barrow, and one in South Lakeland.
No further deaths were recorded in Eden.
Each person who lost their life had tested positive for coronavirus within the past 28 days.
In the past 24 hours, a further 258 people have also received a positive test result for the virus in Cumbria, bringing the county's total number of cases up to 21,514.
The figures were recorded as follows:
Allerdale – 33
Carlisle – 101
Copeland – 31.
Barrow – 33
Eden – 30.
South Lakeland – 30.
People took to social media to air your views. Sarah Miller said: "God bless them all. So sad. People need to wake up and take this coronavirus seriously it kills people.
"Please follow the rules and guidelines protect yourself and your loved ones and family.
"Wear your face masks and wash your hands and sanitize your hands. Keep your distance, stay in and stay safe. Don't risk your life or anyone else's life."
