Readers have been enjoying a programme by Scottish comedian Susan Calman, which features her visit to the Lake District.

The Channel 5 programme, Susan Calman’s Grand Day Out is a travel show which follows the adventures of the former corporate lawyer, who has previously worked at the United Nations and on America’s Death Row, as she tours different regions of the UK in her vintage camper van.

In episode two, which aired on Channel 5 on Friday, January 15 at 8pm, Susan goes on a whistle-stop tour of The Lakes.

She begins her 142 mile journey just south of Penrith, travelling down through the lakes, before heading west to finish near Keswick.
