Fly-tippers have been warned after a number of dumped items have been discovered this week.
Allerdale Council has this week received reports of fly-tipping in Salterbeck, Oldside and Clifton. Illegally dumping rubbish, the council said, is not a valid reason to leave home during the current Covid-19 lockdown.
"Fly-tipping is dangerous, illegal and unsightly. We all have a duty of care to dispose of unwanted items properly, or ensure they are passed on to an authorised person so they can be disposed of safely."
Allerdale Council's waste and recycling collections are operating as normal during the lockdown, and Cumbria County Council's household waste recycling centres remain open also - though visits are only advised if absolutely necessary.
