Cumbrians are being reminded that anti-social behaviour along coastal beauty spots is unacceptable, and if seen should be reported to the police.
Solway Coast AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) issued a statement this week, following recent reports detailing anti-social behaviour that was taking place along the Solway Coast area.
"No vehicles, including motorcycles and quad bikes, are allowed on the beach, sand dunes or any of our sites unless they are licensed to do so or are one of the emergency services," the statement read.
"Vehicles can cause major damage to wildlife, habitats, landscape and heritage.
"Many sites are dangerous for vehicles, which can become stuck.
"This type of anti-social behaviour is illegal.
"[It] should be reported to the police by telephoning 101 and providing the location and registration numbers."
