Five new deaths in patients with coronavirus have been announced at NHS trusts with hospitals in Cumbria.
The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - which runs the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven and the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle - recorded a death on November 27 and another on December 28.
At the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust - which runs a number of hospitals in south Cumbria and north Lancashire - they announced three deaths from December 29.
The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - which operates hospitals just over the county border including
Haltwhistle War Memorial Hospital and Hexham General Hospital - announced eight new deaths in patients with coronavirus.
The figures were announced in today's NHS England figures.
