PROMOTIONS on food and drinks high in fat, salt or sugar in retailers will be restricted from April 2022, the government confirmed.
It will stop medium and large stores offering multi-buy promotions such as ‘3 for 2’.
They will also no longer be featured in key locations, such as at checkouts. Free refills of sugary soft drinks will also be stopped in eateries.
