WORK to promote Annan as 'open for businesses' has got a cash boost.
Annan Community Council will get £2,050 to help communities recover from the pandemic.
The town is one of more than 300 across Scotland benefitting from the £1m Scotland Loves Local Fund.
Money will be used to pay for ‘open for business maps’ and a new visitor board for the town centre, social media and outdoor hand sanitiser.
Grants are administered by Scotland’s Towns Partnership, chief officer Phil Prentice said: “Whether by supporting local businesses in person or online, money that’s spent locally stays local.”
