A NORTH Cumbrian hospice charity has been helped to continue its vital work thanks to the welcome support of generous benefactors.
Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, which provides hospice care to north Cumbrian residents in their homes, has once again been generously supported by Cumbrian organisation the Hadfield Trust.
The trust has awarded the charity with a grant of £6,596 - enough to fund the work of a Hospice at Home registered nurse for 12 weeks.
This has helped the charity to continue its vital work of providing round-the-clock nursing care to patients in their homes.
Julie Blundell, the head of income generation and marketing for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, welcomed the trust's generosity.
"The grant awarded by the Hadfield Trust means vital care can continue in our local community, supporting some of the most vulnerable patients in their own home," she said.
"The charity would like to say an enormous thank you to the Hadfield Trust for the grant.
"The pandemic has brought many changes for our local community, local business and charities and without the support of grants awarded to us it would be difficult for our clinical team to support local patients, their families and carers."
