SOUTH Lakes Police has warned the public to ensure their houses are properly secured.
A force spokesman said: "Remember as we approach Christmas it becomes more important to keep our homes secure. Presents in the home at this time of year are very tempting for would be Grinches, lock your doors and windows ."
