A £2.4 BILLION munitions deal has been agreed between BAE Systems and the UK's armed forces.
The company will provide small arms ammunition, mortars, medium-calibre gun rounds and large-calibre artillery and tank shells to the army, navy and air force.
The Government made the announcement yesterday.
About 1,260 people will work on the deal, in the firm's engineering, operations and supporting roles across its factories across the UK.
It's estimated another 1,500 supply chain roles will be supported.
