A virtual Christmas fayre has raised more than £1,300 for charity and has been so successful there are plans for it to continue in the new year.
Steph Fugler has set up the page on Facebook in aid of Eden Valley Hospice.
Scores of local businesses have taken part so far with 105 donations made and more than 1,800 members in the group.
Traders pay £10 for their virtual stall to sell festive gifts and there is also a prize draw, where every £5 donation counts for an extra entry.
Steph has been pleased with the response since launching the fundraiser on November 1.
She said: “The fayre will finish on December 13 but I’ve been given permission to keep the group open after this date, re-opening in the New Year, as it’s a fantastic way for businesses to share their goods online whilst continuing to raise funds for the hospice.”
