2 NOAH’S PLAICE, EGREMONT

This Egremont chip shop also has a plethora of festive options as part of its intriguing menu, according to our readers.

Reader Rebecca Rollinson was full of praise, saying: “Their festive menu is to die for – fabulous food and prices, definitely worth a visit.”

3 Blackwell bites, CARLISLE

This pleasant cafe, situated in Currock, Carlisle, packs a punch when it comes to festive sandwiches, treats and more, say our readers.

Sinead Watson said: “No one beats them. I’m going to put my nomination in for them.”

4 The Old Bank, Carlisle

This popular Carlisle restaurant is currently running a takeaway service for those missing their classic British takes on all your favourites, which includes special Christmas-themed choices.

Reader Matt Rayson recommended their Scrooge McCluck burger, which is on their takeaway menu and looks very tasty!

Another reviewer added: “Delicious and brilliant value for money, a real plate full. Would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to try the evening and breakfast takeaway menus.”

5 Crumbs of Denton Holme, CARLISLE, and dalston

The festive sandwiches at this Denton Holme and Dalston favourite have gone also down a treat.
