Police investigating an attempted burglary in Carlisle city centre are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Detectives said access to a property in Randall Street was gained through an insecure communal door on Sunday, November 15 at about midday.
The suspect, or suspects, then used an unknown object to smash the front door of the property, said police.
Witnesses or anyone who heard anything at the time should contact PC 2531 Scott on 101, quoting log 64 of November 15. Crimestoppers can be contacted, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
The incident has also prompted a warning from police urging people to secure their properties.
