Grants for eco-friendly homes
A DISTRICT council has been successful in applying for greener home funding.
Eden District Council was successful in securing Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery Scheme funding from central government.
As a result the council now has its own Green Homes Grant Scheme.
In phase one, the council can access funding to install insulation and low carbon heat measures.
Taking place between 1 October 2020 and 31 March 2021, phase one focusses on delivery of energy efficiency installations within wards, which suffer the impact of the Pennines’ weather, Alston Moor, Brough and Langwathby.
