Auction House Cumbria, a leading UK auction company, is providing a platform enabling buyers and sellers to continue to successfully buy and sell with the security of an immediate exchange of contracts, even during lockdown. Don’t leave your house empty for another winter – sell your property via a live streamed online auction.

The company has had FIVE live streamed online auctions since lockdown began in March. During the last online auction in October, bidding saw some spectacular prices, with all 37 lots sold for a total of £3.6m. In all, 149 properties have been sold with a value of £11.9 million and a sale rate of 95 per cent of lots offered.

Each of the online auctions have received exceptional interest, with 679 registered internet bidders, 291 telephone bidders and 60 proxy bidders.

“We have been amazed at the uptake of real time internet bidding,” said Colin West, auctioneer and director of Auction House Cumbria.

With the online auctions generating such interest, and the next scheduled auction taking place on December 17, you could sell your property before Christmas and avoid having an empty house for another winter.

What to do if you want to sell your property online

If you want to sell your house, flat, land or commercial property, you can enter the lot for auction on the company's website. You're also entitled to a free property valuation from a member of the Auction House team.

Mr West said: “Auction House can provide the platform for buyers and sellers to complete an unconditional exchange of contracts. A legal pack is available for each property sale, allowing the buyer to complete their due diligence.”

How you can get involved if you're looking to buy a home

Instead of holding its usual room auction’s at Carlisle Racecourse and Coronation Hall, Ulverston, Auction House will be streaming a series of web auctions during the ongoing restrictions. This will give attendees the chance to bid on properties safely from the comfort of their own home, staying in line with government social distancing measures.

All of the firm’s web auctions are completely secure to enter, with only pre-registered members being allowed access. To bid, you can download an Auction House bidding form online.

Physical viewings are available with individual timed slots. We also provide potential buyers with floorplans and video walk-throughs, which allow them to see the interior of a lot virtually.
