A BURST main has left some customers without water overnight says United Utilities.
The firm said it's working on the problem, which was first reported at 6.45pm yesterday evening at Leacott Lane and the A685, near Kirkby Stephen.
In the latest update, at 5.38am this morning, a spokesman said: "Our team have been working hard throughout the night to get your supply back to normal and will continue to do so until the repairs are completed.
"We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing and thank you again for your continued patience."
In an earlier statement he said: "You may have noticed that your water has gone off or it’s coming out your tap in a trickle.
"We’ve been out to investigate and found the cause to be a burst water main.
"We hope to have your taps flowing again very soon.
"We’ll provide further updates as soon as we can."
