A man has been ordered to pay more than £160 after he was abusive.
Andrew Ramage admitted using threatening words or behaviour in Carlisle on September 5.
The charge stated: “On Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Carlisle in the county of Cumbria, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby.”
He appeared before Carlisle’s magistrates’ court on Wednesday.
Ramage, of Maryport Court in Carlisle, was not represented by a solicitor during the short hearing.
The 39-year-old was fined £50 by the court for the public order offence.
He was also ordered to pay a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
Ramage must also pay £85 in costs to contribute towards some of the costs of bringing the case to court.
A collection order was made by the court.
The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account when the magistrates passed the sentence.
He must pay the total £169 balance by November 30, the court ruled.
