A 20-YEAR OLD has been ordered to pay more than £150 after she assaulted a police officer.
Billie Joanne Butcher assaulted PC Simpson on July 20 in Brampton.
She appeared before Carlisle’s magistrates’ court on Wednesday and admitted the offence.
Butcher, of Greenfield Lane, Brampton, also pleaded guilty to resisting a different police officer in the execution of his duty the following day.
She was given a conditional discharge for 18 months, meaning she faces no further punishment for the incidents providing she does not offend again in the next 18 months.
Butcher was ordered to pay £50 in compensation to the officer who was assaulted.
She was also told to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
