PLANS related to the opening of a new Carlisle jewellery shop are being considered.
The city council is looking at a part retrospective application for alterations to the shop front at 7 Lowther Street.
The applicant is listed as Norbert Nagy of Citadel Goldsmiths.
According to the design statement: “This application is intended to allow the applicant to utilise the property for a new use, jewellers, whilst still falling within the same use class.
“The existing shopfront is of poor design, with UPVC double doors and windows, is painted in a gaudy blue colour and has retained none of the traditional elements which it may once have featured.”
