Flooding is causing problems for motorists in west Cumbria.
Surface water is being reported on the following roads:
- Central Way, Workington;
- Beckstone Bridge/Church Road, Harrington;
- Church Road, Harrington;
- Castle Gardens, Workington;
- Old road from Distington to Howgate;
- A66 between Oakhurst Garden Centre and the Cockermouth roundabout;
- Standing water on the A595 at Parton.
Eye witnesses are reporting that the worst flooding is in the Harrington area.
Heavy rain has battered the county for much of today and is set to continue until early afternoon, when the Met Office predicts downpours will ease.
Light showers are still expected throughout the day.
