Latest official figures show that there has been one new coronavirus death recorded at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust, which runs the Furness General Hospital in Barrow, in the latest 24-hour period.
NHS England figures show 202 people had died in hospital at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust as of 5pm on Thursday (October 22).
There were no further deaths among covid positive patients, testing positive within 28 days of a covid test, at north Cumbria's hospitals.
The latest coronavirus figures for Cumbria are as follows:
There were 5,763 lab-confirmed cases of the virus in the county as of 7am today.
That's an increase of 242 since yesterday.
Allerdale cases- 739 up from 712
Barrow cases- 1,376 up from 1,325
Carlisle cases- 1,373 up from 1,296
Copeland cases- 615 up from 593
Eden cases- 478 up from 440
South Lakeland 1,182
Across England there have now been 704,443 cases of the virus - an increase of 34,470 since yesterday.
Since the start of the pandemic there have now been 39,488 deaths in England.
This is deaths within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19.
Allerdale- 75, no change from yesterday
Barrow- 64, no change from yesterday
Carlisle-102, no change from yesterday
Copeland- 55, an increase of one from yesterday
Eden- 34, no change from yesterday
