THE hand painted replica of the Kendal Coat of Arms near Nether Bridge, painted initially in 2004 and again in 2014. Another similar crest is on a raised bank on the west side of Windermere Road just above Queen’s Road.
Previous to these painted crests, this area was often used by the council gardeners to create various displays in flowers, including the Queens Silver Jubilee, W.V.S. and the town crest.
