MORE THAN £2,300 has been raised by an appeal to save a five-year-old dog.
Katrina Grears and Charlie Stark were in the process of sorting pet insurance for their Staffordshire Bull Terrier when they began to notice he was limping about a month ago.
An X-ray followed and the Raffles couple were quoted £2,400 for the operation, plus 20 per cent VAT.
Struggling to come up with a solution to the problem, Katrina’s family came up with the idea of setting up a fundraiser.
As of yesterday afternoon, the total had reached £2,325, after the recent success of a raffle.
Without the operation, they fear they'll have to put him down due to the pain.
"All of this has really given me a focus, it's taken me out of an incredibly dark place," explained Katrina.
