We’ve been looking back through our archives at World Book Day, when schools all over the county enjoy the celebration of books and many children and teachers dress up for the occasion.
Our photos from over the years show children from Brunswick Road School in Penrith enjoying themselves. Pupils of St Begh’s School and St Mary’s School in Kells both too the opportunity to visit Whitehaven Library while Belah School in Carlisle the children dressed up in costumes from round the world.
Are you or your children or grandchildren in any of our photos? What are your memories of World Book Day when you were at school? Let us know by contacting letters.carlisle@cnmedia.co.uk
