Jehovah's Witnesses have been given approval for continued use of an advertising sign outside their Kingdom Hall.
Eden District Council received, n September 8, a planning application from the Penrith Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, at Skirsgill Lane, Eamont Bridge, to "replace the sign on the gable end of building" for another five years.
In a consultation response by Cumbria County Council Highways they said they had no objection to the plan because "it does not affect the highway nor does it increase the flood risk on the site or elsewhere".
The sign will either be made of PVC or Foamex and have the words JW.ORG on it.
