One tea-crazy entrepreneur is said to offer the tastiest brew around – and now he has the awards to prove it.

Formed in 2018 by Thomas Cheung, Y-Tea has swept through Cleator Moor and beyond, offering each and every resident a perfect cuppa every time.

And after taking the plunge to enter the Great Taste Awards, the Deja Brew owner was thrilled to take home four awards for his product.

He said: “This is the first time we have entered our tea in the Great Taste Awards, and we are delighted that all of our entries have been accredited with one gold star or above!

"These awards are a great way to show the great care we take in sourcing and blending our tea.”

A total of 144 judges had their say on which products deserve the esteemed black-and-gold Great Taste label, with food critics, chefs, restaurateurs, retailers and food writers taking part.

And if receiving the prestigious awards wasn't enough, Thomas was over the moon to be named among the 10% of entrants receiving two stars for Earl Grey.

The judges described the tea as, "full bodied with a delicate balance of bergamot, in complete balance with the mixed estate teas".

They added: "This is a very clever blend, executed with excellent components."

Proud Y-Tea founder Thomas also achieved one star for his Breakfast, Chamomile and Mixed Mint teas.
