A MOTORIST who denied driving while being more than six times the legal limit for drugs has had his case adjourned.
Wayne Andrew Harris is accused of driving a white BMW 320d in Cleator Moor while unfit due to drugs.
It is alleged that he had 309 micrograms of benzoylecgonine, a by-product of cocaine, in his blood.
The legal limit for benzoylecgonine is 50 micrograms.
The allegation relates to driving on the A5086/Parkside Road outside the Parkside Hotel on August 26 last year.
Harris, of Montreal Avenue in Cleator Moor, denied the charge on March 6 this year before magistrates.
A hearing was held on September 25 where the case was adjourned until October 14.
The 39-year-old defendant was not present during this short hearing.
The court instructed that the defendant must attend his upcoming case management hearing.
