Dismay has been expressed following yet more vandalism at a Workington area nature reserve.
Harrington nature reserve, which has repeatedly been the target of vandalism in the past year, was hit with another such incident yesterday.
The last remaining bench in the woodland area was destroyed, prompting calls for any witnesses to contact the police.
The nature reserve is managed by Workington Nature Partnership, a joint venture between Allerdale Council and Workington Town Council.
A spokesman for the partnership said yesterday on social media: "We were just starting to think about replacing some we lost last year.
"It’s such a shame for everyone else who loses out because of people like this.
"If you have any information about this or if you saw anyone in the woods under the factories last night please let us know and call 101."
A spokesman for Allerdale Council added: "A huge shame to see more damage in one of Workington's amazing nature reserves."
"If you've got any information please let Cumbria Police know by calling 101."
