A WEST Cumbrian charity will be holding a drop-in clinic to support those who are hearing impaired.

Age UK West Cumbria is set to hold a socially-distanced drop-in clinic on Monday October 19, at the Ewanrigg and Netherton Community Centre in Maryport.

The drop-in clinic will be taking place from 1pm to 3pm.

This clinic will provide several services for those who rely on the use of hearing aids, including retubing, cleaning and battery replacement.

Practical advice and support on hearing aids and other specialist equipment will be provided.

There will be a small charge for the services offered.

A spokesman for Age UK West Cumbria said: "We may not always have stock of maintenance equipment for all types of hearing aid. Please call first to check."

Age UK West Cumbria can be contacted on 01228 592908.

The drop-in clinic will operate as per social distancing rules.

Masks must be worn inside the building.

"Short notice cancellation may take place due to current circumstances," the spokesman added.
