AN investigation has been launched following a two-vehicle collision on Brisco crossroads on Newbiggin Road.
The incident, that happened on Sunday at about 2.30pm, involved a Toyota Hybrid and Ford Mondeo.
The driver of the Toyota was uninjured, however the passengers, a six-year-old and an 11-year-old were taken to the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle, with minor injuries. The driver and passenger in the Ford were uninjured.
The passenger of the Ford, a 49-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of permitting the use of a motor vehicle with no insurance and permitting the driving of a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. He has been released under investigation.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnesses anything or has dash cam footage. Anyone with information should call 101.
