PROPOSALS to change an agricultural building into a home have been refused.
Eden District Council have turned down plans for the building at Fletcher Hill Farm, Kirkby Stephen.
In the decision letter it stated: "The building operations are not considered to be reasonably necessary for conversion and would amount to a rebuild due to the extensive nature of the work proposed to the existing structure."
The applicant was listed as Mr G Metcalf, of High Street, Kirkby Stephen.
In the application form it asked for permission for: "The conversion of a single storey mono-pitched agricultural building.
"There will be no transport implications is existing via an unadopted track."
