TIME is ticking to take part in a photographic competition for a chance to win shopping vouchers as well as seeing the work featured in an exhibition.

Those who send the best picture of any high street in Allerdale and Copeland could win up to £200 to spend in local shops to support them following the lockdown.

The winning photo would also be featured in an exhibition planned at the Beacom Museum in Whitehaven next year.

Submissions for the competition, organised by Gerard Richardson and sponsored by Armstrong Watson, can be submitted until September 30.

There are two prizes, one for £200 for the best photo by an adult and the second for £100 for the best photo by an under-16. The winners can choose the West Cumbrian shop they want to have their voucher for, as long as it is a locally owned business.

No image adjustments are allowed and the photo must be owned by the photographer.

Entries can be emailed to gerard@richardsonsoffice.net. They should include your name and the type of camera or device used.
