Emergency services had to be called when reports were received of a car crash.
At about 10am Carlisle East and Carlisle West were called to reports of a one-vehicle road traffic collision on the A689.
On arrival crews found the occupant of the car had self-extricated.
But crews made the vehicle safe using cutting equipment and small tools.
