THIS year's Northern Farming Conference has been cancelled as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The 11th Northern Farming Conference was due to be held on Wednesday, November 4 2020 at Hexham Auction Mart, but organisers have taken the decision to cancel the event.

Matthew Curry, chair of the organising committee said: “As this national crisis seems to re-escalate, and in line with government’s regulations, we feel there is no alternative but to cancel this year’s conference. Some of our confirmed speakers for this year’s cancelled event have already committed themselves to take the stage at next year’s conference scheduled to take place on November 3, 2021 at Hexham Auction Mart."

Every year, more than 200 delegates attend this popular conference which has become an unmissable event on the farming and landowning calendar. It aims to give farmers and those advising them information on developments across the agricultural industry and public sector to aid farm business planning over the year year and beyond.

The conference is a joint venture between, Armstrong Watson, Catchment Sensitive Farming, the CLA, Gibson & Co Solicitors, Hexham and Northern Marts, North East Grains, Strutt & Parker, and Womble Bond Dickinson.
