AN application has been submitted to demolish a former pavilion and changing rooms in Carlisle.

The application submitted to Carlisle City Council relates to the area on Richardson Street, Denton Holme.

The building is a single storey structure of timber framed construction with timber cladding and a pitched roof with a steel corrugated sheet covering. The building stands on a concrete ground floor slab.

It is proposed that the building is fully demolished, including removal of the ground floor slab and levelling of the ground, reinstated with topsoil and grass seed.

The demolition method statement states: "Prior to commencement of demolition a suitable site compound will be erected around the building using Heras fencing or similar, to prevent public access to the demolition site.

"All operations in connection with the demolition will be undertaken within the designated compound and any vehicle movements in or out of the compound will be supervised by a banksman.

"Demolition works will be undertaken between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday."
