Teens have been arrested following a serious assault.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place on Monday (September 14) at about 8.45pm in the area of The Citadel, Carlisle.
Three teens aged between 18-19 years old were assaulted by a large group of men, with one victim currently being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
The two other victims sustained bruising.
A 15-year-old and 18-year-old, both from Carlisle, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm without intent, and two counts of common assault.
Both have since been released on bail.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, and anyone who may have dashcam footage from the time of the assault.
