Businesses are being encouraged to take make the most of financial support schemes from the Government which are closing soon.

Cumbria's Business and Economic Response and Recovery Group is encouraging business owners to consider whether they could benefit from Government support.

A series of financial schemes coming to a close include, the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme, the Coronavirus Large Business Interruption Loan Scheme, the Future Fund and the Bounce Back Loan.

Business interruption schemes and the Future Fund come to an end on September 30 and the Bounce Back loan closes on November 4. The UK Government's furlough scheme is also coming to an end on October 31. Chief executive of Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, Jo Lappin said: "Many businesses in Cumbria have benefitted from these four financial schemes. She said: "However, I am aware that a number of businesses were waiting a little while to see if they needed financial support to help them over the coming months." She added that businesses need to know about these schemes with closing dates approaching."
