We have been flicking through the pages of the last 20 years looking at our photos of events that have been held in and around the churches in the Eden area.
They are certainly vibrant places of worship but not only that as our pictures recall the different events that have been hosted by churches in recent years. Our photo selection shows everything from flower festivals to raise money for charities to cookery demonstrations and providing refuge for an outdoor concert from the inclement weather. The churchyard at St Andrew’s church, Penrith, is also pictured as the setting for an outdoor market.
Weather is a feature of a another photo, when the PCC of St Andrew’s Church, Greystoke came up with a novel idea help keep the congregation warm by erecting a marquee indoors!
