A CHIP shop that has been operating on short hours because of the coronavirus pandemic will now be open from six days a week.

Gina’s Plaice, Wigton closed in March after the spread of coronavirus and the lockdown of the country.

It later opened for deliveries only, then for collection and delivery and latterly was fully open on shorter hours.

However, Gina and the team have decided from today they will be open six days a week.

Breaking the news, the team said the shop would be open from Monday to Saturday from 11.30am to 1.30pm then 4.30pm to 8.15pm.

A statement said “The shop will be open for takeaway with a maximum of five customer in the shop at anyone time. Telephone orders are welcome and delivery service is also available.”
