PROPOSALS to create two homes from a barn have been lodged.
Eden District Council recently received an application for the property at Highfield Farm, Tirril, Penrith.
The homes created would both be three-bedroom.
According to the information provided: “The application retains the original footprint.
The applicant is listed as Stoneswood Development Ltd.
“From a planning and design perspective it is considered to improve the appearance of the building - changing the relatively squat single storey building into something more visually attractive and deliberate.
“From the public road to the east of the site, once completed, it would also bookend the site before it runs into the open countryside beyond to the south.”
The consultation period on the plans began at the end of last month and are currently live for comment.
In the letter for the application it said that proposals had previously been given “class Q” approval for the site.

The application number is: 20/0615
