Everyone in the UK has been through the most catastrophic experience this nation has experienced since World War II, as we battle the deadly Covid-19 virus sweeping the entire world.

Not only have we suffered one of the highest death rates in the world, in great part due to the sheer incompetence of this Conservative Boris Johnson-led government, as he presides over a Cabinet filled with the not too bright sons of wealthy fathers, who appear to be wallowing in a Eton mess of mammoth proportions, as they postulate ever conflicting rules and regulations at us, resulting in confusion and fear throughout the land.

None of this is helped by each UK nation doing their own thing, often conflicting with each other in attempts to control the virus and some disgracefully trying to score points against England.

The UK is a great nation, exemplified by our title of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - yet we have been reduced to appearing like a third world country as the Prime Minister lumbers about, most recently camping in Scotland.

He and his yes men need to get a grip - he is forever saying Winston Churchill is his hero - well Churchill must be spinning in his grave at the Carry On farce currently running at Downing Street. Just about the only thing missing is Charles Hawtrey leaning out of an upstairs window of No 10 shouting “Hello sailor!”

And now to top it all, the liberal leftie brigade at the BBC, not content with axing the free TV licences to the over 75s, has decided to censor, by not broadcasting, the lyrics of Land of Hope and Glory and also Rule Britannia in this year’s Last Night of the Proms.

It is high time this government helped elect did the job it was elected to do - actually rule Britannia, whilst getting us out of the clammy clutches of the EU into a free world of British enterprise and prosperity for all, not just the few.
