PLANS to turn a garage into a salon have been approved.
Eden District Council gave the go-ahead on Monday for the salon on Greystoke Park Road in Penrith.
The applicant is listed as a Miss B Watkins.
In the supporting statement it said:"We are changing use of the garage into a hair and beauty salon.
"We have space for three cars on our drive, there will be enough space for two other cars to park and also there is on street parking down the road - there will only ever be two clients in the salon at one time."
Ongoing conditions for approval include limiting opening hours from 9.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday, and Saturdays 9.00pm to 5.00pm. It's not to open on Sundays and bank holidays.
