A CLUB is finally welcoming back its players after a forced closure through lockdown.

The junior rugby team in Wigton will resume training after the pandemic caused the to take a break.

A spokesman fro the club said: “After the enforced break, we are delighted to announce the resumption of junior rugby training for age groups under sevens through to under 16.

“The times for each age group will be decided this week, we will stagger times so as to avoid large numbers gathering in the car park. All covid measures will be in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.”

Along with the re-starting of training the club has announced its annual general meeting.

“Every year at the start of the new season we hold an AGM for all to come and hear what’s been going on and how the club is moving forward.”

Training will start on Sunday September 28.
