WEDNESDAY was a very different day for thousands of children across Tynedale.
For, after nearly six months off due to the coronavirus-enforced lockdown, pupils returned to school.
They met up with friends they haven’t seen for so long and returned to their studies, starting a new school year after finishing their other one prematurely in March.
While many children were excited, and some not so much so after getting used to so long at home, many parents were equally pleased to have their children back in education!
