PROPOSALS to turn a hotel into offices have been lodged.
Eden District Council has received plans to convert the Stoneybeck Inn, Bowscar, by applicant, A Wilderness Way, an organisation that runs children’s homes.
According to the design and access statement: “The applicant is a child care home specialist currently based in Brisco, Carlisle.
“The applicant has outgrown its current premises and is therefore seeking a new headquarters primarily to be used as offices and for training staff.
“The inn ceased trading as a hotel/restaurant about 18 months ago.
“Since then, it has been trading solely as a conference centre/training venue.”
