Cumbria Trading Standards has released information on a product recall of two of Iceland’s own brand products.

The products are Chip Shop Curry Chicken Breast Toppers and Southern Fried Chicken Popsters.

They are being recalled amid fears that the products contain the salmonella bacteria.

The Iceland Chip Shop Curry Chicken Breast Toppers have a best before date of 27 February 2021, 17 March 2021 and 8 April 2021.

The Iceland Southern Fried Chicken Popsters is a 220g pack with a best before date of 4 April 2021.

A risk statement states that: “Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.”

Advice from Iceland is if you have the items do not consume them.

Instead, return them to the store where they were purchased from for a full refund.
