Road closed while fire extinguished
A major Workington road had to be closed by Police after a fire was discovered in a derelict building.
At 10.37pm on August 8, three fire engines were called to a building fire at Hallwood Road, Lillyhall.
A quantity of rubbish and timber was alight within a derelict warehouse.
Firefighters used hydraulic equipment, one hose reel jet and two main jets to extinguish the flames.
Crews remained at the scene for approximately two and a half hours.
The road was reopened by Cumbria Police just before 1am.
