In today's dip into the picture archives we've a mixture of sadness with the closure of Waverbridge School, Wigton, in 1970 (marked by presentations to teacher Miss Jean Briggs and caretaker and canteen helper Mrs Doris Howe) but also happiness with country shows, sponsored walks, beauty shows and proud donations.
