A GROUP of poets have produced an anthology of work written during the lockdown.
Brampton Poets is a local group of writers and enthusiasts which was founded in 2016 and, prior to lockdown, met once a month in the Brampton Community Centre.
Last year the group published its first collection of poems, which was put on sale in local shops.
After two successful print runs the group was able to donate some of the profits to charity.
This week nine group members have published a second anthology, using Cumbria as the dominant theme.
There are also a number of photographs, watercolours and other graphics by the poets.
The monthly meetings will restart when guidelines allow.
The group also intends to hold a future event where the anthology will be launched, poems read and the book available to buy.
In the meantime, the book may be bought online from Waterstones booksellers at this online address: www.waterstones.com/book/brampton-poetry-2020-anthology-no-2/john-s-langley/
